BCN

Hello,

How many times have you tried to include as many photos as possible in a single layout? Well, in my case...too many times! That's because I tend to take so many photos while traveling that I can't decide which ones to include in a page... So, today I am sharing a fun way to include 15 photos!!

Two summers ago we went on a short vacation to Barcelona (Spain). And we visit some of the most important tourism points there. So much fun and such a good weather!

I chose one of the photos to be the main attraction of the page. To achieve this, I decided to go with a bigger size of it and let the other photos be part of the background. Cute!

After that I played with some travel themed embellishments. The wood veneers are just perfect for the colors present in the photos. For this kind of accents I really like to use the Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go collection and some mixed Studio Calico collections.

And after seeing how this all come together, I decided to go with orange as the main color of the page to combine with the earth tones. To finish the page, I make a list to remember where were the photos taken. It's a good way to not forget the name of the places...hehe I really love how this turned out in the end. What do you think?

So let's be adventurers

 &

enjoy today!!

Just me!

Happy Thursday!!

Ready for another hybrid page? I know I have been posting a lot of hybrid pages this lately but I am so excited about this new technique that I made a bunch of pages with it.

For this one I also got inspired by a SC sketch of the Toolbox Class week one. It is such a dynamic sketch that it allows you to play with a lot of different designs and elements.

This is my first page that I create all about me. So I chose some of my favorites colors: blue. This has been my all time favorite color since I was a kid although recently I discovered the joy of other pretty colors: mint, yellow, pink, earth colors. love them!

I love the quote of one of the class printables. So I knew I had to add it to a page about myself. As you had surely noticed before (from my previous pages) I like to add ink splatters, wood veneers, enamel dots and roller-stamps as the final touch on my projects. So I decided to add a looooooot of digital ink splatters. Fun!

In the end I end up adding my own quote and the words that I think describe me better on the background. It reminds me of those trendy papers right now, with so many words and phrases all over them. It is difficult to appreciate the whole paper on the photo as I chose a very soft blue for that. I didn't want it to be as relevant as the other elements.

What about you? Have you ever scrapbook a page just about you?

My fave!

Good morning everyone!
Ready for another page to express my love for this city? Hope so! Austin. Such a special place for me. Just everything I want to be... But sadly, I will have to wait a little bit more to see you again... Meanwhile, I will remember you by making this pretty pages. yaaaaay!

When I started this project, I didn't know the sketch or simply where I wanted to place my photo. The only thing that I knew is the look I wanted to create. I love soft colors, party/celebration elements and everything happy! :)  So I started picking cute embellishments from my stash and cutting some pieces of the beautiful papers from Dear Lizzy. I adore all her collections and they have become pretty much my basic for a lot of pages.

To contrast the bright elements I picked these lovely cork alphas to spell my title. Besides, I create this city scenario out of a paper by Amy Tangerine Yes, please collection. A little tip: add a lot of layers with 3D adhesives to make it more fun!
Once I had all this set up, the page come together very easily. A cute die-cut on the top left corner with just the perfect sentiment; a pinwheel, hearts and some colorful stickers on the right side; and a cute happy banner to join the two sides.

All these things reminds me of Austin, such a happy little moments lived there. Austin has a great hippie spirit, and for those who don't know this city, South Congress is just the perfect place to get the feeling (the area where the photo was took). That's why added the feathers too ;) They always make me think of my hippie side.

I love how the speechbuble comes out of the cityline! don't you like it too?  It combines very well with the fun/carnival look of the page and the vintage photo wall.

Greetings from Austin, Capitol of Texas!!

Hole in 1

Hello!!
Today I just wanted to share very quickly a page I made yesterday using one of the four SC Toolbox sketches for week one. As I mentioned before in a previous post (click here), I am really enjoying this class and I am trying to make the most of it.

On the side, you can find the sketch that I used for this LO. I think it was actually a card sketch but I still have so many 12x12 LO that I want to make to document so many important moments that I decided to play with it anyways. I chose a minigolf theme LO because of the circles... I think it goes very well with the theme! ;)

At first I started creating the pattern circles on Photoshop with the chevron template and the different digital papers offered by the class. I decided to change the colors of the papers to resemble the color combo of the photo. Once I had this done, I start adding some accents and scraps behind the photo to make it pop-out. Then I placed the title. Don't you love those cork alphas? I do!! They are great!! I will miss the cork trend now that the blackboard trend is making its appearance.

o.k. So the main circle is finished. Now it's time for the little ones.  Just some cute banners and enamel dots and some journaling are enough to remember how I felt that day. All about my birthday party!

And what is a birthday party without confetti?A boooooring party..... So lucky I had some SC confetti ready to be used on my desk . Yaaaay!

Today, let the sunshine in! (or the one with the SC Toolbox Class)

Hello,

I am so excited to share with all of you this project!! I had so much creating it :) This month I am taking my first scrapbooking online class: Toolbox by Studio Calico... and I am already loving it!!! It has just started but I am finding so much inspiration, new creative techniques and other ways to document my memories in the videos/PDFs.

This week the class is focused on digital and hybrid pages. And as you can check here, I am totally new at this!! But I am really enjoying this fun technique. These past months I bought some SC digital stamps (as they are cheaper than buying the whole kit just for the stamps...) but in the end I never used them; simply because I didn't know what could I achieve with them. So glad that I decided to take this class!

At first I started creating my base background on Photoshop with the chevron template and the different digital papers offered by the class. I also had fun changing the colors of the papers to achieve my desired color combo. Then, I played with the digital brushes to make my title and to add some little details here and there. I am so in love with the ink splatters!! With Photoshop I could even matched the ink splatters with the color of the papers. And if I don't like the way it turns I can just delated and start over again. Such a lovely technique!! love it!

Once I had all placed, I printed on a 12x12 cardstock. I printed twice to be able to give some dimensions to some of the chevrons and hearts. This way the LO become less flat and more fluid.

To finish the page, I added some of the class printables (I also matched  the colors with the chevron background in Photosohop), enamel dots, veneers, buttons and a cute and small journaling. This pop out the page and give it more texture so it doesn't look so digital.

I hope you like this!! So excited to see all your hybrid pages based on this fantastic class!
