I'll eat you up, I love you so

Good Morning everyone!

As it probably happens to many of you, I noticed that I can only scrap when I feel happy. Not necessarily super-hyper-cheesy level of happiness but you know what I mean hehe I guess it is when I feel more creative, when I can actually get inspired and it feels right to play with the colorful paper goods. 

But when I reach, as I said, the super-hyper-cheesy level of happiness I often end up with pages of the same level of happiness; like this one. I like how bright and cheerful it is, the happy colors and the cute phrase. Is like a party, don't you think? In fact these pages are the ones that I tend to see the most when I feel not so happy. And that is why I could not love them more.

¡Buenos días a todos!

Como probablemente os suceda a muchos, me he dado cuenta de que sólo puedo scrapear cuando me siento feliz. No necesariamente un nivel super-hiper-cursi de felicidad ya sabéis lo que quiero decir jeje Supongo que es cuando me siento más creativa, cuando puede conseguir realmente estar inspirada y sentirme bien jugando con los papeles de colores.

Pero cuando llego, como ya he dicho, al nivel super-hiper-cursi de felicidad, a menudo termino con páginas del mismo nivel de felicidad; como ésta. Me gusta lo clara y alegre que es, los colores vivos y la frase bonita. Es como una fiesta, ¿no creéis? De hecho, estas páginas son las que precisamente tiendo a ver más cuando no me siento tan feliz. Y es por eso que no podían gustarme más.

Free your heart

Good Morning everyone,

I know I have said it like million or billion times before but seriously Elizabeth Kartchner is always an inspiration for me. I love her products, her pages, and let's admit it, her happy little life too. I was so happy when she joined the Studio Calico Creative Team because I enjoy so much seeing how she uses the monthly kits.

And why did I mention this? Well, because this page was absolutely inspired by this page from her (find it here). Gorgeous, right? So I tried to do my best with the same sketch but I adapted the colors and embellishments to match the photos from Santa Monica beach and Pier.

Buenos días a todos,

Sé que ya lo he dicho un millon o miles de millones de veces antes, pero en serio Elizabeth Kartchner es siempre una fuente de inspiración para mí. Me encantan sus productos, sus páginas, y admitámoslo, su pequeña vida feliz también. Fue genial ver que se unía al equipo creativo de Studio Calico este año ya que disfruto mucho viendo cómo utiliza los kits mensuales.

¿Y por qué menciono esto? Bueno, porque esta página esta absolutamente inspirada en esta otra página de ella (podéis encontrarla aquí). Magnífica, ¿verdad? Así que traté de hacerlo lo mejor posible con el mismo diseño pero adaptando los colores y los adornos para que coincidieran con las fotos de la playa de Santa Mónica y y el muelle.

Los Angeles - good vibes only

Hi there,

I am just finishing up documenting the highlights of my last vacation through scrapbook pages. I love how different are some pages from them to others. Because I am really trying to translate the mood of the photos to the actual page. I really think it will help me somehow recall that moment when I get old and forgetful.

I also promised myself to use more and more my Silhouette Portrait. And so far I am loving this challenge. I have used it so many times to cut out my title using the actual cut pieces. However, now I am really enjoying using the negative piece as well. And that is how I created my title here.

Hola,

Estoy terminando de documentar los momentos más destacados de mis últimas vacaciones a través de estas páginas de scrap. Me encanta lo diferente que son las páginas de unos a otras ya que realmente estoy tratando de traducir el estado de ánimo de las fotos a la páginas. De esta manera las páginas me ayudarán de alguna manera a recordar ese momento cuando yo sea vieja y olvidadiza. ;)

También me prometí a mí misma usar más y más mi Silhouette Portrait. Y hasta ahora me esta encantando el desafío. Ya he usado esta herramienta muchas veces para cortar mi título, pero normalmente utilizo la pieza recortada, sin embargo ahora lo que quiero utilizar más es la pieza negativo. Y así es como he creado mi título en esta página.

Fun (Scrapaddictes CT)

Hello,

Today I show you my last page as a member of the Scrapaddictes Creative Team. It has been such an experience and it was such a pleasure to share it with the other amazing and talented members of the team.

The November Monthly Challenge was Glitter. So, my first thought was... oh men how I am going to do this without making a mess? I am not a huge fun of glitter or sequins so it was indeed such a challenge for me. I think the reason is that I find it difficult to work with...  So, in the end I decided to add subtle background details with glitter embossing powder. What I love about this kind of glitter is that it is easier to get it glue to the paper (through embossing) without having glitter all over the place hehe I have to admit that I love the result and it was fun and easy! To complete the page, I added some other embellishments with glitter.

Hola,

Hoy os muestro mi última página como miembro del equipo creativo de Scrapaddictes. Ha sido toda una experiencia y un placer compartirla con mis compañeras tan increíbles y talentosas.

El reto de noviembre consiste en brillo/purpurina. Por lo tanto, mi primer pensamiento fue ... oh no cómo voy a hacer esto sin organizar todo un caos a mi alrededor?  Yo no soy muy fan de la purpurina o las lentejuelas, así que fue realmente fue todo un reto para mí. Es taaaaan complicado trabajar con ellas....Así que, al final me decidí por añadir sutiles detalles del fondo con el polvo embossing de brillo. Lo que me gusta de este tipo de brillo es que es más fácil conseguir que se quede pegado al papel (con embossing) sin tener purpurina por todas partes jeje Resulto divertido pero sencillo. Para completar el efecto, añadí algunos otros adornos con purpurina.

Away away we go

Hello,

I have to admit that I have been hoarding this cute paper from Studio Calico for a few months already... waiting for the right moment and photos to come. And when I printed these photos from San Francisco I was sure that they were just the perfect ones to finally use this paper.

We spent such amazing days over there: up and down the hills, crossing the bridge on a bike, eating ice-creams on the pier.... It's funny how far way I was from home and how I totally felt like being there though. I guess I just love and miss California so much! ;)

Tengo que admitir que he ido acaparando este papel tan bonito de Studio Calico durante unos meses ya ... esperando el momento y a las fotos adecuadas. Y cuando imprimí estas fotos de San Francisco estaba segura de que eran más que perfectas para finalmente utilizar este papel.

Pasamos unos días increíbles allí: arriba y abajo por las colinas, cruzando el puente en bicicleta, comiendo helados en el muelle... Es curioso lo lejos que estaba de casa y cómo me sentía totalmente como sí estuviera allí. ¡Supongo que me encanta California! ;)
